UGG® is an American fashion company known for their iconic sheep skin boots. Created by Australian surfer Brian Smith in Santa Monica, California in 1978. Ugg boots originated in Australia, initially for utilitarian footwear worn for warmth, and were often worn by surfers in the 1960’s.By the mid 80s UGG® became a symbol of the SoCal beach culture, gaining momentum through surf shopsfron San Diego to Santa Cruz.
